Everything is so surreal right now. I cannot believe that in 6 months I will be walking in front of all of my classmates to receive my diploma. Today Jostens came to the high school and every senior ordered their cap and gown for graduation. I feel as if I am one of the few students in my grade who do not feel "senioritis" but rather am upset because time is going by so fast and I wish everything would just slow down. I have spoken to a lot of adults and they all say that high school was the best time of their lives. I realize now in my senior year why they say that and it makes me never want to leave. I have grown so close with my fellow classmates and community which makes leaving so much harder. I have been so blessed to be apart of this community and experience everything that it has to offer. I will defiantly come back and visit Lindsay California because this is the place where I spent the best time of my life. High school!

Time really does fly by! I blink my eyes and I go from learning how to write my name to applying for a college. I am currently at the turning point in my life when I decide what I want to spend the rest of my life doing. I am currently working on applying to colleges in order to pursue my career in Civil Engineering. My number one choice in where I would like to go is the Smittcamp honors college at Fresno state and my second choice is UCLA. I would be so blessed to go to either of those colleges. I will also be applying to Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz, and Long Beach State. There is so many options as to my future and I am possibly considering trying to walk on to the UC Santa Cruz Golf Team. Many people say college applications are like a full time job. I couldn't agree more! When I am not at school or playing a sport I am constantly working on getting accepted into a college. Senior year has defiantly been the hardest year of all but I know all my hard work will pay off in the long run. I am so blessed to have an amazing support system in my family and wonderful teachers who are always willing to help me.
As I walked into school this morning I had the biggest smile on my face. Today is my last first day of school and for a moment I thought I couldn't be happier that school was almost over. Then reality hit me and I realized I was just getting started! I have a full load of classes with 3 AP classes, an advanced guitar class, a 3 more very challenging classes. I realized in that moment that senior year was going to be the hardest year of them all. When I walked into school today I thought I was happy that school was almost over but I really was just excited for my senior year. So many fun and awesome experiences are ahead of me this year and I cannot wait to experience them all. The things that I am most excited to experience in my senior year is homecoming week. I would love to be a nominee and experience all the fun activities and dress up days. I love showing my school spirit and really living the high school experience. I am also extremely excited and nervous to participate in sports this year. I recently had surgery in the end of February and I hope my shoulder recovers quickly and adapts to golf, cross country, basketball, swimming and track. Athletics are my favorite part of high school and if I was not able to participate in sports because of my shoulder I would be crushed. I hope this year I can represent my school well and influence the younger grades in a positive way. I cannot wait to see what this school year brings and i'm so excited to experience it all!
Wow! I cant believe I am almost done with my first year of high school. Everyone keeps on telling me, "Enjoy it while it lasts because it goes by fast!" but I never believed them because school has always been just... school. My expectations going into high school was nothing more than a typical day at school where you go to your classes and have to do homework in the night, but I couldn't of been more wrong. High school is filled with so many amazing experiences and opportunities and I cant wait to take advantage of those experiences over the years. My most memorable experience so far is winning valley in basketball! Most people never do that in any of their 4 years and I did it my freshmen year. That experience was so memorable and it is one I will never forget. That experience was so fulfilling that I defiantly want to do that again, no matter how hard I have to work.Another memorable moment of mine was Prom. That was defiantly a night to remember. I am a terrible dancer, but it was so much fun dressing up, getting my hair and nails done and going out to dinner and have a blast with a bunch of people. I am defiantly going to do that again. I hope that the rest of my high school is as amazing as this first year of freshman year. In the future i would defiantly like to be more involved in ASB and in club because this year I was mainly focused on grades and sports. But that doesn't mean I will stop working hard on my grades and sports! I am definitely excited for what the future holds for me at LHS.
