BasketballI have been apart of the varsity girls basketball team for the past 4 years of high school. This is definatly one of my favorite high school experiences! Throughout these 4 years we have won a valley and league championship, I have been awarded MVP and 1st team all league player. I have also been our team captain for the past 3 years which is an excellent way for me to build my leadership skills and encourage my teammates who will be friends for life.

SwimmingI have been apart of the varsity swim team for all 4 years of high school. This team is more of a family to me because I have built such strong relationships with everyone on the team. I have swam in and qualified for 8 CIF Valley events and won league in 6 events, 4 of which are individual. I was also the first girl in our schools history to qualify for day 2 of the Valley Championships where I placed 6th. Sadly, in Feburary of my junior year I had to have shoulder surgery. I was not able to swim in the following swim season. Swimming is my favorite sport so having to choose surgery over being hurt the rest of high school was one of the hardest decisions of my life. I am excited to participate in swimming this fall and hopefully qualify for the Valley Championships day two again!

GolfI have been fortunate enough to be able to compete for the varsity girls golf team for the past 4 years of high school. When I started golfing freshman year I had never even touched a golf club. Immediately I fell in love with the sport and worked extremely hard and ended up placing 4th in league my Freshman year. The following year I placed 2nd and then my junior and senior year I placed 1st and qualified for the Area Championship. In doing that I was awarded first team all county both years. My senior year I also qualified for the Valley Championship and placed 34th in both division 1 and 2. I have received college offers from 2 different schools and will possibly pursue golf at Reedly College.

track/cross countryDue to having to have shoulder surgery in the spring of my junior year I got the opportunity to be apart of the LHS track team rather than being able to compete in swimming. I ended up winning the 800 meter sprint and 4 by 400 relay at league. In the following season of cross country the coach recruited me to join the team. In the league championship I placed 6th and qualified for Valley. This was such a fun experience because I got to meet so many new people, made lots of memories and try something new.

EXCURSION clubLast Summer I got the opportunity to go down to Costa Rica with 28 other students in the Spanish department. We explored numerous towns in Costa Rica learning about their culture and increasing my knowledge in the Spanish language. This was defiantly a once in a life time experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I plan on going to the East Coast in the fall for another excursion trip.
